Genzyme Therapeutics markets products for the treatment of patients with chronically debilitating diseases, like genetic disorders, such as lysosomal storage disorders (LSDs) – characterised by a lack of enzymes essential to healthy biological processes. Often the result of a rare genetic defect, these enzyme deficiencies can trigger a variety of complications that can result in disability or death. By replacing the missing enzyme, we often can slow disease progression, improve symptoms and restore health.

Other disease areas include chronic kidney disease, and our oncology portfolio includes an important therapy for management of thyroid cancer.
